
All pupils take a minimum of 9 GCSEs / IGCSEs. 100% of our Fifth Form pupils gained 5 passes (grades A*- C). Of all GCSEs taken by pupils in 2008, 37% were A* grades, 76% A* or A grades and 95% A*, A or B grades.

These statistics are compiled on the basis of the known destinations for 2006 leavers.
Practically all our leavers in 2006 went on to Higher Education, about 59% after taking a Gap Year.
97% of our leavers went to Universities in the UK with the remaining going to the USA, Hong Kong or Europe.
There were 11 Oxford and 9 Cambridge places (12%) in this year group; the next most popular universities are listed below.
Bristol (24), Newcastle (13), Leeds (11), Manchester (10), Durham , Nottingham and Edinburgh (9).
Imperial, UCL, Warwick, Exeter and Birmingham were amongst the 38 destinations of Carthusians.
In the Leavers 2006 year group the most popular courses were:
Engineering, Maths and Sciences (27%), Humanities (21%) including History and English, Social Sciences (16%) including Economics, Politics and Human Geography, Modern Languages (11%), Business and Management (9%), Arts (4%) including Music, Art and Theatre Studies, Medicine (5%) and Law (3%).
Carthusians were admitted to over 100 different courses.
