Bursaries are available for all winners of Scholarships when there is a proven financial need. There are also a number of Entrance Bursaries for talented boys and girls who would benefit from a Charterhouse education and whose parents cannot afford the fees. Such awards can be made to cover 100% of fees where appropriate.
Bursaries are awarded in the case of financial need. They are means tested and they are reviewed each year to take into account any changes in parents' financial circumstances.
Eligibility for financial assistance is based on parents' income and assets. Bursaries will not be given where net assets, after provision for school fees, would exceed the cost of an average house in the local area.
Early applications is advisable, up to 3 years before entry, as available funds are limited.
Parents will be asked to complete a confidential statement of financial circumstances and will be invited to meet the Bursar.
