Sport Overview
The major games are football, hockey and cricket, but there is a wide variety of other sports: swimming and athletics, golf and sailing, rugby and shooting, racquets, tennis, squash and fives to name but a few. There are School as well as House matches in most sports. Teachers help with running teams, and the cricket and racquets professionals are both members of Brooke Hall. The girls also have regular fixtures against other schools in hockey, lacrosse, netball, tennis and cricket.
The sporting facilities are truly impressive and include the Queen’s Sports Centre (QSC) with its indoor swimming pool, multi-use sports hall, climbing wall and a well-equipped fitness suite. The School also has its own athletics track as well as a nine-hole golf course and all weather pitches which are used mainly for hockey and tennis.
