The Charterhouse Hong Kong Board

THE ROLE OF THE HONG KONG BOARD

The Board was established in April 2012 to provide local leadership of the Charterhouse community in Hong Kong and to help foster positive relationships with OCs and parents and with the School.

One of the Board’s primary activities is organising a series of events for all those living in Hong Kong and the broader region.

The Board is also helping to raise money for key initiatives such as the fully funded Bursary for a talented pupil from Hong Kong, and the School’s landmark new Science and Mathematics Centre.  All donations by Hong Kong taxpayers are tax-deductible as they can be directed through the Charterhouse Foundation (Hong Kong) Limited.

In addition, the board is working to ensure that the School has the most up-to-date contact information for OCs and parents of pupils, by completing an OC contact details update form, so that we can stay in touch, and invite members of our community to events that will be of particular interest.

The Board has an Executive Committee supported by three sub-committees for Fundraising, Carthusian & Parent Relations, and Events.  The School is grateful for the leadership, advice and generous support of members of the Board.
