Raising money for charity is taken very seriously at Charterhouse. The Charity Lunch is a half-termly event when, instead of our usual Wednesday Roast, we are given a choice of soups and rice pudding, and the money saved goes directly to charity.
Each house chooses a charity to support, and the money is split between them. One of these charities is the Make a Wish Foundation, which specialises in giving children with life threatening diseases a wish, such as meeting a celebrity or going to a popular event. Other charities supported by this initiative included Chase, Shooting Star and Great Ormond Street.
