Charterhouse is delighted to announce that its pupils have achieved the School’s best ever A level and GCSE/IGCSE results.
At A level, 91% of grades achieved were A or B grades. 75 of our pupils gained straight A grades. Of these, 49 pupils gained three A grades, 20 pupils gained four A grades and 3 pupils gained five A grades. Sam Chan, Trevor Fung and Bryan Chu gained a remarkable six A grades, as did Matthew Xu who also gained a B in Chinese.
These excellent results mean that the vast majority of this year’s leavers will be able to take up places at the universities of their first choice.
At GCSE/IGCSE, 82% of grades were A* or A with 47% A* grades.

The best GCSE results in the School's history
Along with many other leading schools Charterhouse will not appear in this year’s newspaper league tables. These league tables do not give a useful measure of what schools and their pupils achieve and can be very misleading.
This is the last year of Charterhouse’s involvement in the A level system. Next year’s results will largely be from Cambridge Pre-U courses and from 2011 it is intended to offer the IB Diploma Programme as an alternative course of study.
