‘Ideolect’ is the title of a new Exhibition by Lara Saxby-Soria, the new Artist-in Residence at Charterhouse. There will be a Private View of the Exhibition, held at the Studio, on Thursday 1st December, from 6pm - 9pm, to which all parents and pupils are most welcome. The Exhibition itself will run from 2nd to 8th December at the Studio, from 9am - 6pm daily. Again, all parents and pupils are welcome.
Lara came to Charterhouse after finishing her MA in Sculpture at the Royal College of Art. During her term-long residency, she has been developing ideas in response to the environment at Charterhouse. This exhibition is the culmination of her residency and will include photography, video and installation work. Images from the Exhibition include the large-scale photograph, ‘Cloister Series II’ and a video installation which will be shown in the gallery, entitled: ‘Reflections on the Thames’.
