Three Carthusians have been selected as members of the Great Britain team for the 420 dinghy World Championships to be held in New Zealand over the New Year.
Jack and George Yeoman (L) were 7th overall after a series of races, qualifying them for the Open World Championships. Jack, in his first year at Charterhouse, is almost certainly the youngest helmsman ever to make the British team in the 420 dinghy category and by far the youngest current member of the British sailing team. Their success also qualifies them for the British Youth Squad.
Olivia Pettit (V), crewing one of the highest finishing women’s boats, has similarly qualified for the Women’s World Championships.
