Success for Debating Teams

Junior Debating Team


Having won their regional heat of the English Speaking Union’s Public Speaking Competition, The Junior Debating Team was victorious again in the district final on Thursday, 4th February at the Guildhall.

They now travel to ESU headquarters at Dartmouth House in London on the 11th March to compete against other winners from across the country. A place in the UK Final, held at Lincoln’s Inn, is at stake.

National Finals at Oxford Union


On 27th January, Charterhouse entered three teams for the Oxford Union’s heat for schools in the South. There were fifty schools competing, with the chance for six teams to qualify for the national finals held at the Oxford Union. Two pairs made it through, with Charterhouse the only school to have two teams qualify.
