Water-Polo Champions

The Charterhouse Water-Polo team are South of England Champions

The Charterhouse Under 18 Water-Polo team won the South of England Championship on Tuesday April 22nd, and will compete in the National Finals in Walsall on March 11th for the second year running.

The team beat Alleyn’s School 4-3, Wilson’s School 6-2 and Dean Close 9-0 to complete a clean sweep of their matches. They have high hopes of success at Walsall.

On the same day, the Under 16 team came second in their South of England Championship, beating Eton 6-2, Grenville College 4-2, but losing to the winners, Alleyn’s School 3-8.

The members of the teams were:

Under 18s: Max Lawson (captain), Tom McKay, Duncan Street, Max Wong, Alex Reeve-Tucker, William Law, Michael Fatsis, Jack Marriott, Rupert Hamer, Doy Thomson, Hugo Millington-Drake.

Under 16s:  Michael Fatsis (captain), Fotis Lykiardopulo, Kirill Baev-Stokmayer; Sam Jenkins, Walter Bayliss, Toby Sherwood, Alistair Adams, Frazer Watt, Doug Morris, Harry Craddock, Jack Hillcox, Will Law.
