The marking of all clothes is essential and it is the responsibility of parents to ensure that every item of clothing belonging to their sons and daughters is clearly marked. Unmarked clothing which goes astray is unlikely to find its way back to its owner. Nametapes showing the owner’s name, initials and House letter should be used and these can be ordered on-line via Cash’s UK, or via the School outfitters. Some additional nametapes should be given to the House Matron so that any items purchased during term time can immediately be marked.
Parents are requested to ensure that all clothes and shoes are in good repair at the start of each term. Jackets and trousers should be dry-cleaned and checked to ensure they still fit.
The School shop is the official School outfitters and the sole supplier of the uniform and sports wear. In addition sports equipment, footwear and toiletries are also available.
PARENTS OF NEW PUPILS MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR OUTFITTING. This usually takes about an hour. Our first appointment is at 9.30 am.
Please contact Mrs Jackie Iley, the School shop manager on: 01483 291635, or e-mail: shops@charterhouse.org.uk
Mr Lewis (Cricket Professional) will be pleased to give advice on the choice of sports gear – particularly with specialist items such as cricket bats, hockey sticks, football boots etc.
During the 2010 summer holidays (5th July – 31st August) the shop will be open as follows:
Monday – Friday: 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Closed Saturday and Sunday
During term-time the opening hours are:
Monday – Friday: 8.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.
Saturday: 9.00 a.m. – 12.00 mid-day.
(Please note the shop is open on the first evening of every Quarter until 9.00 p.m.)
