The Aldridge Foundation

Charterhouse is delighted and proud to be an educational partner of the Aldridge Foundation, which runs academies and helps transform communities through enterprise and entrepreneurship.

We have a special relationship with the Kensington Aldridge Academy, an outstanding school in West London. Amongst our partnerships activities are the following highlights:

  • shared professional development with colleagues at Kensington Aldridge;
  • a series of residential camps at Charterhouse during the summer of 2017, when many KAA pupils were affected by the tragic events at Grenfell Tower, which sits next-door to the KAA site;
  • a shared commitment to academic excellence, including online Physics lessons for gifted and talented pupils at KAA, joint pupil trips, for example our 2018 visit to the London School of Economics and our highly successful 2017 conference on ‘Britishness’ attended by almost 100 pupils with keynote speakers including The Reverend Rose Hudson-Wilkin, human rights barrister Tom Cleaver, BBC journalist Danie Linsell, and The Bishop of Dorking;
  • mutual advice and support in areas such as Higher Education and sixth-form learning.
