Kensington Aldridge Academy
Charterhouse is one of Kensington Aldridge Academy’s education partners. The school, which opened in September 2014, is part of the Aldridge Foundation’s group of schools, established by Sir Rod Aldridge, a former Charterhouse parent.
There are obvious differences between Charterhouse and KAA, which is a new school serving a deprived inner-city community in North Kensington, but the two schools share similar aims and the partnership is mutually beneficial. Opportunities for sharing expertise in teacher training and curriculum planning are currently being explored and, when KAA opens, and particularly when its Sixth Form admits its first students in 2016, collaboration involving pupils will become possible.
