I have lots of great memories from School so it is hard to narrow it down to one! As a sucker for punishment, I loved Pontifex and hockey matches in the rain with Mrs Noble cheering us on. I remember our final assembly and singing our hearts out to Jerusalem and a fun post A-level holiday to Laganas!
After leaving Charterhouse in 2003 I completed a short-service limited commission at RMA Sandhurst and joined the Royal Artillery, where I was fortunate enough to spend time skydiving in California, skiing in the Alps and scuba diving in the Red Sea, along with some less glamorous times spent in Catterick, the Brecon Beacons and the Outer Hebrides. After the Army, I went to Oxford to study PPE at Teddy Hall. Post-uni, I began my career on the graduate programme at Lehman Brothers and was indeed working there during the great crash, although at the time didn’t really appreciate the significance of it! I have since worked for a few investment management firms, including Odey, GLG (Man Group) and currently enjoying life at Pelham Capital, where I am Head of Investor Relations. Over the last 15 years I have lived in London, Hong Kong, Bangkok and LA – and rather ironically have spent the last 4 months in lockdown living with my parents again!
In addition to investment management, I set up British Education Matters, a bespoke consultancy advising Asian pupils on boarding schools and universities in the UK and helping less privileged international pupils obtain scholarships and grants.
Outside of work, I am sports-mad still and compete in swimming and tennis. Last year I represented Thailand at the World Championships in the 10km Open water Swimming event and was due to be part of the squad for Tokyo 2020 - before Covid ruined this dream!
I play for the Ladies tennis team at the Queens Club in London and help organise OC tennis. I got married last year in Thailand and was pleased to have lots of my school friends come out for the wedding.
I am very involved with the OC community and keep in touch with OC friends, and even some teachers! I help organise the Old Robinite dinners and am part of the OC Club Committee. As for OC tennis, I think this is the first unbeaten season for my partner Dolman and I, having had all of our matches cancelled due to Covid.
