Director of Art and OC’s work selected for shortlist

Peter Monkman (Director of Art) and former pupil, Oli Epp (D12) were among the one-hundred and twenty shortlisted works for the ‘Ruth Borchard Self-Portrait Prize 2017’. Peter Monkman and Oli Epp were chosen from 1000 entries to be entered into the final stage. Oli Epp’s self-portrait was among the eighteen works acquired for the Ruth Bouchard Collection.

Celebrating contemporary British and Irish self-portraiture, the Ruth Borchard Self-Portrait Prize offers a unique opportunity for new and established artists alike to compete for a £10,000 prize, and the chance for their work to be purchased for the Ruth Borchard Next Generation Collection. 2017 will be the fourth edition of the biennial Prize, and the fourth exhibition of the 120 long-listed works at Kings Place.

Piano Nobile and the Ruth Borchard Collection are exhibiting the 120 works by British and Irish artists, at Piano Nobile, Kings Place from 18 May to 22 September 2017.
