Drama & Theatre Studies

Charterhouse has always had a thriving dramatic tradition. There are numerous opportunities for pupils to participate in the theatrical life of the School: either on stage, as part of the technical crew, front of house, directing or designing. During the academic year, there are in the region of seven or eight full scale major productions. Some are specific to year groups, others involve all years.

In addition to the above, there is the practical exam work of the A level groups, house plays and pupil-directed productions.

The Drama Department also offers LAMDA. Speech and Drama lessons as well as the opportunity to attain certificates from other awarding bodies.

Full details of the curriculum are available in the Under School (Years 9-11) Curriculum and Sixth Form Curriculum sections.
