Stewart Morris (g27)

Stewart Morris (g27), OBE, was a celebrated yachtsman. He was a member of the Cambridge University Yachting Team for three years and became it's Captain in 1930.

Morris won a Gold Medal in the London Summer Olympics of 1948 (Swallow class). It was to be the only time that the Swallows appeared in the Olympics, for the class was dropped for 1952 never to appear again.

He was an outstanding helmsman in the International 14ft class for 40 years and was elected 'Yachstman of the Year' by the Guild of Yachting Writers.
