Pupils excel in recent Intermediate Mathematical Challenge

On Thursday 7 February, members of the Under School (Years 9-11) took the first round of the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge, a paper designed to test our talented mathematicians in the leading divisions. The United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT) mathematical challenges are taken nationwide at most secondary schools each year.

The results have come through and we are delighted to announce an all-round success, with a total of 76 pupils gaining a certificate. The challenge demonstrated impressive results with 17 pupils getting gold, 30 taking silver and 29 receiving bronze.

We would like to offer our congratulations to all the pupils that took part in the challenge.
