Our First STEM Fair

Our First STEM Fair

In celebration of British Science Week

Charterhouse held its first STEM Fair on Friday 6 March, in celebration of British Science Week. This demonstrated the huge variety of opportunities to get involved with science at the School.

There were a total of 18 pupil-led stands from all areas of science: Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. These included the chance to try your hand at being a vet, to cover the floor with ‘elephant’s toothpaste’, to solve mathematical puzzles, to become a maggot-racing champion and to even see the gory insides of a rat or frog at the hugely popular Dissection stand!

We also welcomed some pupils from Aldro and Edgeborough to the fair, which allowed them to experience the full extent of the science programme here, and even try Deep Tech drawing and drone flying.

It can be definitely concluded that the first Science Fair at Charterhouse was a tremendous success. And we look forward to many more in the future.
