Pupils visit Cambridge University

Sixth Form pupils studying Economics attend inspiring lectures at St John’s College

Last weekend, on 2 February the First Year Specialists (Year 12) ventured to Cambridge University to attend a conference organised by The Marshall Society.

Pupils attended a range of lectures from ‘The generalist view of the US economic exceptionalism’ by Adam Wooldridge, a Political Editor on the Economist, to ‘A forensic examination of inequality and its impact on the Brexit referendum’ by Danny Dorling, Halford Mackinder Professor at Oxford.

The conference took place in the stunning St John’s College, allowing pupils to enjoy first class undergraduate economics lectures and have some time enjoying a sunny winter’s afternoon in Cambridge.

It was an extremely inspirational day and our thanks go to everyone involved in organising the day.
