We are delighted to announce the opening of our business, leadership and entrepreneurship centre, now officially known as The Hub.
The Hub was opened to pupils after Exeat (half term) and as well as having timetabled lessons in the new Seminar Room, The Hub has areas for collaborative working and a video conferencing room.
The Hub is home to our new FutureU programme. FutureU is a central part of our teaching and learning, sitting alongside our academic and co-curricular courses. The FutureU programme provides pupils with transferable skills, business and career knowledge, experiences and values to help them thrive in the world of work.
Through The Hub, pupils are able to build their skills base in presentation, pitching and communication in an environment which mirrors that of the university or business space which they will progress into. Pupils are able to focus on the development of their skills away from the constraints of a traditional classroom.
We are really excited to see this new space in use and want to extend our gratitude to the parents and OCs who donated £2.9 million to help make this idea a reality.
