Pupils bring home 85 mathematics awards including 22 Gold Certificates
Over 100 pupils took part in the UK Senior Mathematical Challenge on 7 November and won 85 Certificates in total. The aim of the competition is to encourage mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency using basic mathematical techniques to solve problems.
Charterhouse pupils were awarded 22 Gold Certificates, 31 Silver Certificates and 32 Bronze Certificates. As a result of their performances, 18 pupils qualified for the Senior Kangaroo Competition and Ifeanyi Isichei, Owen Chan, Louis Thomson and Justin Fung also qualified for the British Mathematical Olympiad.
