Ukraine: The Price of Freedom

On Thursday 20 June, during Artifex, there are two Ukraine-related cultural events taking place. The events are free to all but tickets are required.

Featuring the work of international award-winning photographers, the exhibition documents the devastating conflict during the first year and a half of Russia’s full-scale invasion. The exhibition, which has also been hosted in Germany, Ukraine, New Zealand, Japan and Ireland, is currently touring the UK and has already been on display at the House of Commons and several UK universities.

Film screening: 20 Days in Mariupol

Multi-award winning documentary, including Winner of the 2023 Academy Award – Best Documentary Feature Film. A film by Pulitzer Prize-winning Ukrainian Journalist Mstyslav Chernov. This film is rated 18 by the BBFC. Entry will be by free ticket only to persons aged over 18.
