Tell us about yourself

I have a pharmacy degree, but when I moved to the UK, I decided to change my career to a different field. Biology has always been my passion, and the role at Charterhouse as a Science Technician has given me the opportunity to stay in science and develop my knowledge of this field. I have been working as a Science Technician here in the Biology department since 2018.

What makes Science at Charterhouse special?

It is a huge Science department with many opportunities and enthusiastic colleagues who are dedicated to providing the best for the School and its pupils.

Describe a single moment related to Science at Charterhouse which had a really positive impact on you.

Among all the exciting practicals happening here at GCSE and A Level, my favourite moment is when we provide the opportunity for other local schools to come here and experience the three different science areas. It’s rewarding to see the outcome and the children's happy faces.

What advice would you give to a pupil at Charterhouse who loves studying Science?

My advice for them would be to get involved in extra curriculum activities, such as dissection and medical societies.

What advice would you give to a pupil at Charterhouse who finds Science challenging?

Charterhouse beaks (teachers) provide extra revision sessions, and there are great resources available to help those who are finding things difficult.

Is there anything more you’d like to add?

We have a dedicated team of teaching and support stuff, alongside outstanding facilities.
