Al Fresco Art and Fourth Form Monsters!

Our new Fourths have been enjoying Art at Charterhouse with outdoor drawing and monster creation

Taking advantage of the recent sunny weather, our Fourths (Year 9) took to the outdoors to sketch the Surrey landscape. 

As part of an art project on local landscape and trees, Mr Monkman's pupils were learning about sketching the horizon line, midground and foreground and getting a sense of perspective within the rich textures. 

In Miss Pinkney's class, pupils have been drawing their very own monsters, which they're later going to be able to model in clay. There are some really original and imaginative creations developing, so we look forward to seeing how they turn out!
