Drama Pupils Take on Driftwood

Drama Pupils Take on Driftwood

A Level Drama pupils recently attended an inspiring workshop at Chichester Festival Theatre, gaining valuable hands-on experience and creative insight.

Pupils with actors James Westphal and Jerome Yates

The evening began with a dynamic ThickSkin workshop in the Pimlott Building’s rehearsal room, where pupils explored innovative theatre techniques.

I had so much fun exploring different styles of physical theatre, I will definitely be using some in my own devising pieces!

Eve (Year 12)

The workshop was led by Maya Shimmin, Associate Director of Driftwood, a production written by Tim Foley and co-produced by ThickSkin and Pentabus. The play is currently being staged at the Minerva Theatre as part of Chichester Festival.

The workshop was a fun way to express our creative skills while being thoughtfully guided by an industry professional.

Oskar (Year 12)

After a well-earned pizza break in the Minerva Bar, they took their seats for a performance of Driftwood  an inspiring story about hope, love and belonging — which captivated the group.
