Our pupils raise over £1,000 for Royal Surrey County Hospital Charity
On Thursday 2 May Charterhouse held another ever-popular Mufti Day, with pupils putting uniform aside to support another fantastic cause. Over £1,000 was raised for this term’s charity, the Royal Surrey County Hospital Charity, voted for by the pupils, which supports patients and their families at our wonderful local hospital.
The pupil-led Charterhouse Charities Committee fundraises year-round for a wide range of causes. Local causes supported in recent terms include The Simon Trust and Shooting Star Chase. Last term, pupils fundraised for Hope Gardens India, co-founded by OC and former chaplain The Revd Richard Lloyd, where a new maternity wing is being added to a hospital previously supported by the school.
