Stained Glass Workshop

Come and join us at one of our stained glass workshops this summer

The Charterhouse stained glass windows that graced the original school Chapel (now the Old Music School) have languished in storage for many years, surviving two fires and several moves. They have now been rescued from the basement and are being cleaned and restored by a local cooperative group of stained glass artists, led by Rachel Mulligan.

 

There are around 80 panels of stained glass that need cleaning, so that they can be photographed and assessed before restoration, and we are therefore holding workshops at which kind volunteers can help with the cleaning. If you would like to experience the thrill of seeing a blackened piece of old glass transform into glowing colours, please sign up for one of these free workshops:
