For pupils, and indeed for staff and members of our wider school family, our Community & Partnerships Programme is a key element of our communal life.
We are proud to reflect on our successful charity fundraising efforts, which exemplify the values deeply embedded in Charterhouse's history and ethos. The Charities Committee is chaired by members of the Sixth Form, and the pupils make all decisions about which causes to support. The Committee is one of our largest pupil-led societies, raising money for voluntary organisations across the year.
As we look back on their fundraising efforts for the year 2023-24, it's inspiring to see the tremendous support and generosity directed towards numerous charitable organisations. This year, through various initiatives and collective efforts, a total of over £30,700 was raised. Each donation, big or small, has supported over 30 charities, from local initiatives to international causes. Through bake sales to fun runs, pupils came together to support others.
At Charterhouse, we strive to make the most of the opportunities available to us and teach our pupils to be kind, open-minded, and responsible. Our commitment to giving back enhances the educational experience and opportunities for others, both within our immediate community and beyond.
As we celebrate this achievement, we also look forward to continuing our tradition of service and charity in the years to come.
Congratulations to the pupils on their fundraising efforts, and thank you to everyone who donated, participated, and supported these worthy causes.
