3 December 2024 marks Giving Tuesday, a day that encourages people to act generously. Be that supporting a neighbour, advocating for a colleague or giving to a cause that has the power to make a positive change in the lives of others.
Giving Tuesday recognises all acts of generosity, and there are so many ways you can keep connected with Charterhouse. From volunteering your time via Charterhouse Connect, to leaving a lasting legacy, to hosting an event; every act of generosity enhances our global Charterhouse community.
If you feel inspired to give your time to support others, join over 50% of Charterhouse Connect users who are listed as 'Willing To Help' and offer your insight and knowledge to our global community. You can get involved by updating your profile to let us know if you are 'Willing to host or speak at future School events', provide 'Careers and networking opportunities' or can 'Offer mentoring'.
This Giving Tuesday, you can also show your support by making a gift to Charterhouse. By making a donation or leaving a legacy to the Bursary Fund, you can help us to double the number of individuals who have already supported our bursary programme this year. Collectively we can influence extraordinary change by positively transforming the lives and education of more young people. However great or small, every gift is meaningful and allows us to continue Thomas Sutton’s legacy of providing education regardless of financial means.
I think it’s hard to repay anyone for such generosity, I suppose thank you is a great start. This will never be enough in my eyes as the bursary truly has changed the trajectory of my life, personally and professionally.
