Old Carthusians presented with DofE certificates at St James’s Palace
On Tuesday 11 February, seven Old Carthusians Joanna Stapley (W17), Luke Clegg (V19), Robert Elston (G19), Christopher Cole (S19), Jamie Stapleton (S19), Nathan Rowland (P19) and Fleur Keeble (V18) were invited to St James’s Palace to receive their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.
The ceremony took place in the main Throne Room, where they each met HRH The Earl of Wessex before being presented with their certificates. This was a fitting tribute, especially after many months, and for some who have also completed their Silver Award, several years of dedication and commitment to the Award.
Head of History at Charterhouse, Mrs McDonald, also received a framed certificate as thanks and recognition for her many years of service, both as an Assessor and Award Verifier. A huge congratulations to all.
