In Remembrance of Lin Cheung

This week our much-respected colleague and friend Lin Cheung was remembered during a memorial tree planting at School. Lin sadly passed away on 29 December 2022.

For over 19 years, Lin worked as a Catering Assistant at School. During this time he worked in multiple locations including the Queen’s Sports Centre, Crown (the School tuck shop), Sixth Form Club, Saunderites and Duckites Houses. He was very popular not only with colleagues but with pupils also. A fact that was evidenced in catering surveys. When asked ‘what is best about catering’ the answer repeated most was ‘Jill & Lin’.

To show Lin the respect that he showed us when here, a maple tree has been planted outside New Crown with a plaque to commemorate him. Donations were received from colleagues and pupils and on Monday 16 October Lin’s family and friends took a moment to remember Lin.
