Inaugural Prep Schools’ Tennis Festival

Twenty-one Year 5 children visited Charterhouse for the inaugural Charterhouse Tennis Festival on Sunday 10 June 2018. The day included fun games, drills and competitive play based on timed doubles as well as a barbecue lunch.

Seven Charterhouse sixth formers acted as coaching assistants, some putting their recently acquired LTA level one coaching awards to good use. Tennis is a popular sport at Charterhouse and the School has the largest programme of any school in the country for training up tennis coaches among the pupil body.

Master in Charge of Tennis at Charterhouse, James Silvester commented: "The Prep School children seemed to really enjoy the day and it was also good to see our own pupils in a leadership role on court."
