Old Carthusian Football Club

The latest OC Football Club news

Report below by Matt Bailey, Chairman of the OCFC.

The OCFC footballers are on the brink of setting new standards for football at our level.  As a closed club (all members have to have been Carthusians) the pinnacle of achievement is the AFA Cup, where the team go head to head with all the open clubs in amateur football, who can draw their members from anywhere.

This year the 1st XI have reached the final for the third time in 10 years and they are looking to win this elusive trophy for the first time in our history.  The Final is on 13 April at the Bank of England Grounds in Roehampton, all support is very welcome.

In addition to this final, the team have the Final of the Old Boys’ Cup this Saturday and have yet again reached the final of the Arthur Dunn Cup on the 27 April. The Club's form in the League is equally impressive, with the Arthurian Premier League title wrapped up already and our 2nd XI closing in on the Division 2 title.

So far, an extraordinary achievement and we hope to report on more success soon.
