Two pupils who sat their Pre-U examinations at Charterhouse in 2017 have received notification from Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) that they scored the top mark of all candidates in the June 2017 examination series in one of their subjects. Nicholas Palmer (H) and Victor Wong (S) achieved this very considerable feat in Mathematics and Further Mathematics respectively, and we are very proud indeed of what they have accomplished. CIE wrote to congratulate them on their exceptional performance, which they described as having demonstrated ‘truly outstanding ability’.
Both Nicholas and Victor have recently gone up to Cambridge to read Mathematics, and did so in the knowledge that they have developed an extremely secure foundation in the subject during their time at Charterhouse.
