Canadian Racquets Challenge
Full-time racquets professional Martin Crosby oversees the development of the sport at School and coaches the various squads. A recent visit from The Racquet Club of Montreal provided a welcome opportunity for pupils and Old Carthusians to team up for an extra special fixture.
On Thursday 12 October, the School was delighted to host a tour party from The Racquet Club of Montreal. An experienced group of eight members had crossed the Atlantic to tour some prestigious UK racquets courts and golf courses. Our Canadian visitors included some very accomplished names from the North American Racquets circuit.
The Charterhouse Team consisted of a mix of pupils and OCs who recorded an excellent four match to none victory. However, the result were less important than the experience of getting to know players from overseas, contributing to the bond between the UK and our North American fellow Racquets enthusiasts.
