Girls' Football is Flourishing

The Girls' 1st XI sailed through the first round of the ISFA U18 Girls' Cup.  On Thursday 5 October they took on Claremont Fan School and provided a thrilling game for everyone to enjoy. A prime example of that special sense of shared belonging evident in School.

Benedita (Year 13) Captain of the 1st XI shared her thoughts:

Last Thursday's game was surreal. Not only because we were the first girls' team to play on Big Ground for at least three years but the way our passes were fluid, due to the enthusiasm of Carthusians on the side lines and the union of the team. Just knowing that the team worked hard to be there was amazing, and the final score (6-2) was just an additional dopamine hit.

As one of the biggest football schools in the country, Charterhouse prides itself on the way football is coached, played and enjoyed. Congratulations to Alexandra who was awarded Player of the Match. Goal scorers were Leonor, Sophia (x2), Nadia, Eliza and Elizabeth.
