Hockey Team reaches the semi-finals

The boys' hockey 1st XI have their sights firmly set on Lee Valley and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park as they have reached the semi final of the England Hockey Notts Sports Boys U18 Tier 2 Championships. They will play their semi final match at Old Loughtonians Hockey Club on Wednesday 25 April at 12 noon as they await the draw for their opponents.

They will then compete at Lee Valley on Thursday 26 April, either in the Final or 3/4 play off in this national knockout cup.

Under the expert eye of Director of Hockey, Dan Fox, the boy's 1st XI have reached this stage of the competition following a very successful domestic season in the Long Quarter. The current cup run has seen the squad record impressive wins over Seaford College (5-1), Reigate Grammar (8-1), St George's (3-0) and most recently versus a strong a Peter Symonds College 2-1.

Director of Sport, Nick Beasant noted: "We are delighted wit the efforts and hard work of the squad thus far - reaching a national semi final is a great achievement and we wish them the very best of luck for their remaining matches."
