Congratulations to Tatiana (Year 12) who made her debut at the Horse of the Year Show at NEC Birmingham last month. Whilst she missed out on a top placing she's delighted that the experience stands her in good stead for next season.
Tatiana started riding at 3 and Horse of the Year Show had always been a dream of hers. She qualified in and for the Working Hunter class, where riders are marked on style and performance whilst jumping. Competing amongst the top 17 'Working Hunters' in the country was something she never imagined, and had always dreamed of. Tatiana and her horse have been through a journey together, including an accident in 2021.
An unfortunate knocked pole means we missed out on the top placings but there was so much more to that day than just winning and so despite the outcome, I am so pleased. It was our first time there together and we were met with a really technical course, but he jumped his heart out for me. I know we will be starting next season on the right foot, and I hope to qualify and compete at HOYS again next season.
