Pupils Win Best Pair

Charterhouse hosts the Vargas Salver Fives Competition

The annual Fives Competition took place on Sunday 3 March at Charterhouse. The three pair competition attracted entries from Charterhouse, Aldenham, Cranleigh, Holyport College, Westway, and St Bart’s.

Charterhouse’s first pair, Robert Elston and Hector Platt, won best pair - remaining unbeaten.

The winners of the team trophy were Aldenham who took home the Salver, as well as a book and a slab of fair trade chocolate. Fives was played at the top level and all games were extremely close in all.

Thanks go to Dale Vargas who presented the trophy for the second time, Mr Robert Morris who did an impeccable job in keeping the matches moving and to Mr John Troy for organising the event.
