The Under School Girls' Football Tournament

The Under School report

The Under School Girls' Football Tournament got underway on Tuesday 8 March. There were some closely fought games between all of the Houses, including the game between Sutton and Northbrook that finished as a draw. This took the fixture to penalties to decide the winner of the tournament. Northbrook finished on top in the penalty shoot-out thanks to some excellent saves made by Alix. Overall, the girls all gave their all and appeared to enjoy playing some football with their Houses and spreading the team spirit. Well done girls for all your efforts!

The Senior House Tournament report

The Senior House Football Tournament took place on Thursday 10 March. It was a lovely afternoon and great to see the Upper School getting some of their final football playing in for the year. There were two separate tournaments occurring: one for Year 12s and one for the Year 13s. Similarly to the Under School tournament, in the Year 12s' tournament, there were some very close games. This included the deciding game between Fletcherites and Chetwynd. Fletcherites won this game 2-1, thanks to a great goal from Katie. This meant that Fletcherites won the Year 12s' shield.

Overall, when combining the Year 12s' results and the Year 13s' results, the positionings finished: Chetwynd in 3rd (8), Sutton in 2nd (19) and Fletcherites finished in first (21). Well done to everyone who played and showed up to give their support.
