Mrs Suzanne Allen

Saunderites (pronounced Sarnderites, not Sornderites) aims to gather together a cross-section of very able young people who are then closely guided into getting the most out of the fantastic opportunities that are provided at a school like Charterhouse.

Mrs Suzanne Allen

Saunderites is a happy and vibrant boarding House, that has kindness at its core. It has a strong reputation in sport; the juniors have won the House football for the last three years and the seniors are House hockey champions, but trophies have also been won in cross-country, athletics, squash, swimming and water-polo recently. However, there is strength in music and art too – with several award-holders in each of these, contributing to School and House events regularly. Academics are also taken seriously – Saunderites boasts more pupils gaining places at Oxford and Cambridge than any other House over the last 10 years. However, each individual boy, whatever their ability, is encouraged to be the best that he can be, to contribute both to the School and to the House, and to make the most of the fantastic opportunities provided by a Charterhouse education.
