Our registrations for 2026 are now open and will close on 24 September 2025.

Registrations cost £420.00 (inclusive of VAT) and are non-refundable. After registration you will be sent a 'candidate form' to complete; which requests the following:

1. Latest school report
2. Predicted grades at (i)GCSE
3. Contact details of headteacher for confidential reference
4. Personal statement 
5. Online testing subject choices
6. Scholarship interest (if applicable)

If you are unable to attend our scheduled Open Days, don't worry; you will be provided with a tour during our assessment days.

Visit Charterhouse

All candidates will be invited to sit three tests in the subjects indicated on the completed candidate form. 

Candidates will complete the tests on a digital platform between 27 September 2025 and 5 October 2025. This platform enables candidates to take the test virtually from any location with Wi-Fi and employs cutting-edge technology to ensure secure invigilation.

Full details of how to sit the tests will be communicated with applicants, once registrations have closed.

Some candidates may also be requested to sit an EAL test. 

We will review the tests, and candidates selected for our Assessment Day will be contacted on 17 October 2025. References from current schools will then be requested.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend one of our assessment days at Charterhouse, on either 6 November 2025 or 13 November 2025. 

Candidates will engage in a series of immersive assessment activities, explore Charterhouse on a guided tour, enjoy a presentation from our Assistant Head Academic (Futures & Sixth Form), and participate in a conversational interview with a member of staff.

Candidates who have shown interest in Scholarships will be invited to assessments between 10 November 2025 and 18 November 2025.

Candidates not at school in the UK

If a candidate is studying at a school outside the UK and unable to come to Charterhouse for one of the assessment days, interviews can be arranged to take place virtually.

For candidates in Hong Kong and Mainland China, Academic Asia will hold an assessment day in Hong Kong in November. Please contact Ms Fung for more information.

Successful candidates will be offered unconditional places on 1 December 2025. Parents will be asked to secure the place by signing an acceptance form and paying a deposit. Some reserve offers may also be made.
