The Perfect Location
Nestling within the beautiful Surrey Hills National Landscape, Charterhouse enjoys a stunning and fully enclosed 250-acre (1 million m2) campus, surrounded by green spaces, sports pitches and woodland.
The campus is also within walking distance of the picturesque and historic market town of Godalming, as well as excellent transport links to London and beyond.
Our spectacular setting provides the perfect place for study, heritage, forward-thinking, hard work and fun to unite.
Just 40 minutes from central London by train and within 35 minutes of London Heathrow International Airport by car, Charterhouse is exceptionally well-connected while also maintaining a peaceful, rural setting.

A Campus for the Mind, Body & Soul
Having daily access to so much green space improves the mental health and overall wellbeing of every pupil, especially when coupled with our regular programmes of physical activity.
Our fully enclosed campus setting provides a safe environment and inspiring home for our whole community of pupils, teachers and staff to work, play and live together. All pupils are encouraged to make daily use of all that is within their ‘back garden’.
A large number of our staff live on-site in our 15 pupil houses. This offers a huge benefit in providing consistency when supporting the continued well-being of each pupil.
With 17 grass sports pitches, 3 full‑sized Astroturf pitches, an athletics stadium, a sports centre and swimming pool, 27 tennis courts and a 9‑hole golf course, not to mention acres of beautiful lawns and gardens, our campus is one of the best, if not the best, in the country.

A particularly lovely campus; pupils commented on how much they enjoy the sweeping views of the original Victorian Gothic buildings as they cross the grounds to lessons each morning.
This is, indeed, a pretty blessed place: Victorian buildings soar heavenwards, surrounded by the greenest and most manicured of pitches.
