Bodeites
Bodeites was opened by the Queen in 1975, was designed by the son of Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, architect of the Memorial Chapel.
The accommodation in House allows nearly every boy to have his own study-bedroom throughout his time at Charterhouse. The Central Dining Room, Queen's Sports Centre, golf course and playing fields are within easy reach.

Since joining Charterhouse in 2011, David has held a variety of posts and responsibilities, including Head of History, Deputy Head of Weekites, Master of the Specialists and Master-in-Charge of Football. In 2020, David and his family took part in an exchange with an American teacher, based at the Hill School in Pennsylvania, which gave him a great opportunity to explore academic and pastoral matters in an overseas context.
Before joining Charterhouse, David worked as a Housemaster and History teacher in a London day school. Prior to that, he was a Press and Information Officer for the Queen, based at Buckingham Palace.
In his spare time, David is a keen footballer (supporting Newcastle United because he grew up in Whitley Bay) and golfer, but he’s also an enthusiastic musician, playing guitar and piano, though to an admittedly pretty average standard! His music taste is best described as eclectic. David has a wife and three children, while Jerry the dog completes the family.
