Post-Results Service Request

Post-Results Services

If you would like to review an exam mark or simply want to see the marked script, there are four services available to you.

Please complete this form to submit your request.
Note for IBDP candidates: IB only offers the non-priority versions of these services — there is no priority option for IB exams.

Important: marks can go down as well as up. A review of marking can result in the grade being lowered, not just raised or confirmed. By submitting the form, you're confirming you understand and accept this risk.

The Four Services at a Glance

Service Deadline

PRIORITY Review of Marking
(A Level only)

For urgent cases only — typically 2nd-year leavers who need a result confirmed to secure a university place.

5.00pm, 19 August 2026

NON-PRIORITY Review of Marking (IGCSE, A Level, PreU and IB)

For Candidates who want to review an assessment, but where a University place is not dependent on the remark.

5.00pm, 17 September 2026 (IGCSE and A Level)

5.00pm, XXXXXX (IB)

PRIORITY Access to Scripts
(CIE only, A Level / Pre-U)

For pupils who want to see their script before deciding whether to request a review of marking.

5.00pm, 22 August (CIE)

NON-PRIORITY Access to Scripts
(IB and others)

For pupils who are simply curious how a paper was marked — not appropriate if a review is wanted.

5.00pm, 23 September (AQA, Edexcel, OCR)

5.00pm, 11 October (CIE)

5.00pm, 14 September (IB)

The UK's Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) advises schools and candidates to think carefully about whether there is a genuine concern with a grade before submitting a post‑results enquiry. Requests should not be submitted solely because a mark is close to the boundary for a higher grade.
