Mrs Rebecca Pugh

Mrs Rebecca Pugh

As a relatively new House, I am delighted that the House staff and the girls have built and created our ethos and environment together. This is founded on the core values of the School; kindness, moral courage, perseverance, responsibility and open-mindedness.

Northbrook is a ‘home from home’, where all girls are encouraged, motivated and challenged both in their academic studies and in their co-curricular pursuits.  There is an expectation of collaboration and commitment, whether this be in Drama, Music, Art, Sport or smaller internal House events.

Northbrook will be a supportive and caring House, where everyone is responsible for creating a happy and warm environment for all to thrive and reach their full potential.

Mrs Rebecca Pugh, BA PGDip PGCE

Mrs Pugh joined Charterhouse as Head of Academic Drama in 2019 from the International School of Amsterdam where she taught MYP Drama and DP Theatre and directed the MS and HS productions. Prior to this Mrs Pugh was Director of Drama and latterly Assistant Head Pastoral at Putney High School in London. Mrs Pugh gained a first class degree in Classics from King’s College London and went on to study Acting and Musical Theatre at Central School of Speech and Drama, where, after a spell as a Theatrical Agent, she later did her PGCE. In her spare time Mrs Pugh enjoys singing and, funnily enough, is an avid theatregoer.
