School Life
Underpinning everything we do is a commitment to enabling young people to reach their highest potential. To support this, a large network of teachers and pastoral staff are in place across the School to support each child.
At Charterhouse we are kind to each other and strive to live by our values. We ensure that your wellbeing and happiness are at the centre of your life at School. Your house is your home away from home.
When you come to Charterhouse, you come because of the magnificent grounds, academics, sport and arts.
What you stay for is the true sense of belonging, being a part of something beyond yourself and the continuous personal growth you gain during your time here.

Heritage Collection Object:
TANKARD — This striking tankard is a memento from the House Football Competition, which has been contested annually since 1878. Each member of the Lockites House Football team was presented with one of these tankards as a reward for winning in 1881.
The House has always been the centre of every Carthusian’s life with every pupil believing theirs is the best!
House spirit fills the campus across a range of annual competitions – everything from art and singing to football and water polo. House colours can be won for cultural and sporting achievements as well as upholding the Charterhouse values.
