We are delighted to announce another year of exceptional Sixth Form exam results, with pupils today celebrating over 300 A Level results at A*/A grade.
211 pupils took A Levels or the IB Diploma this year, and an impressive 85% of papers were awarded A*-B grades (or equivalent). Amongst our top 150 pupils, 97% of courses were graded A*-B (or equivalent).
We could not be prouder of our pupils. These results are a testament to their exceptional talent, relentless hard work, and the inspirational teaching that takes place every day at Charterhouse. This is a moment to celebrate not only their phenomenal exam success but also the character, curiosity, and creativity that define them.

This tremendous performance over our large exam cohort showcases not only the talent, dedication, and ambition of our Specialist (Sixth Form) pupils, but also the expertise and commitment of subject beaks (teachers) who have supported them through stimulating lessons and generous provision of clinics and revision sessions. This year’s results reaffirm the School’s place among the very best in the country for academic achievement, while underlining its commitment to nurturing excellence in every sphere of life.
Impressively, over half of our pupils achieved AAB or better, a benchmark that opens the doors to the most prestigious universities in the UK and across the globe. Carthusians are globally-minded and ambitious, and this year’s leavers will soon be embarking on courses at global elite universities, including a dozen at Oxbridge or Ivy League, as well as at institutions in the US, Canada, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, and several other countries.
The breadth of opportunity at Charterhouse leads to pupils selecting a huge range of university courses, supported by our knowledgeable Futures team; the traditional route exemplified by our three Oxbridge Engineers is complemented by two Carthusians taking up US sports scholarships in hockey and wakeboarding.
Huge congratulations to all of this year’s graduating class.
