Exciting Events Ahead and a Chance to Shape Your House Community

We are delighted to share a vibrant programme of Old Carthusian events coming up this autumn, and a special invitation to help steer the future of our House Associations. Whether you are looking to reconnect with friends, discover a new sport, or play a meaningful role in your House community, there is something here for everyone.

Join a House Committee: Make a Real Difference

Our House Associations are the heartbeat of the OC community, organising gatherings, mentoring current pupils, and keeping traditions alive. Right now, several Houses are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join their committees. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow OCs, develop leadership skills, and leave a lasting legacy at Charterhouse.

Unmissable OC Events This Autumn

From intimate drinks receptions to milestone reunions, our autumn calendar is packed with occasions to catch up, celebrate, and make new connections. Full details and registration links are available in the events section on Charterhouse Connect.

Highlights include:

• House gatherings: Old Bodeites drinks, Old Gownboys dinner, and Old Lockites dinner – perfect for reminiscing and networking.
• Class of 2001 25-year reunion: A special milestone celebration for those who left School a quarter-century ago.

OC Clubs and Societies: Get in the Game

OC Football (Men's): A Historic 150-Year Celebration
Don't miss a truly special occasion on 26 September at 11am on the Big Ground, as OC Football hosts the Old Foresters. Both clubs are marking their 150-year anniversary, and the FA will be presenting each team with a commemorative plaque. It promises to be a memorable match steeped in history so come and be part of the celebration! Further details are on the OC Football (men's) Connect page.

OC Netball: Everyone Welcome
The newly formed OC Netball club is looking forward to welcoming OCs to its next gathering on Tuesday 22 September, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, indoors at the Charterhouse Sports Centre. We hope to see a large turnout, and all levels of experience are welcome. There is no need to bring anything except trainers and a great attitude!

OC Fives: New Court, New Opportunities
Our OC Fives team is buzzing with excitement following the opening of another Fives court, meaning more play, more competitions, and more fun. Mark your calendars for Wednesday 23 September at 6pm, when the OC & Brigands take on Charterhouse – come along, bring your friends, and cheer the team on!

OC Golf Society: Tee Off with Fellow OCs
The OC Golf Society is rolling out the green carpet for more OCs – men and women of all abilities – to join their remaining 2026 fixtures. Whether you are a seasoned golfer or just looking for a sociable day out, these matches offer great company and beautiful venues. Connect with the group via the OCGS Connect page.

OC Basketball: Small Team, Big Spirit
OC Basketball may be small in numbers, but their energy and camaraderie are second to none. Under new leadership, the team has an exciting lineup for the year: Wednesday 7 October, Saturday 21 November, and Saturday 6 February. The October fixture is against the pupils – a great chance to see the next generation in action and show your support. Join the OC Basketball group on Connect for updates.
